When I was nine years old, my family got into the numbered Angus game with no previous livestock background at all, so I consequently grew up learning about the Angus breed, exploring pedigrees, diving into EPD's, and idolizing the one and only Tom Burke. While our run in the seedstock Angus industry did not last long, the impact our farm had on the industry in that short amount of time was pretty great. We owned some of the most prominent females in the game at the time, broke 100-year-old records in the Angus breed and had annual sales until our final dispersal in 2008.  Rewind to 2006, it was late July, and we were getting ready for our annual sale that was coming in August. One of the guys we had up from Ohio helping us prep for the sale persuaded my family into getting me my very first show heifer, a purebred Angus heifer from Majors in Ohio. My love for the industry grew stronger and stronger every year as I had the opportunity to compete competitively on the state and national level. Throughout the years, I exhibited Angus and Shorthorn heifers, always attending Junior Nationals, the North American, and the National Western.

Fast forward to now, I am 25-years-old and my roots to the industry never died. I still raise and sell Angus and Shorthorn show cattle and I've put my marketing degree to use with Empire Imagery, photographing some of the best stock shows across the country and helping farmers and ranchers market their livestock through photography, marketing, and web design.
